TMAC stands for Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center. We are an MEP affiliate, consisting of eight Texas partner institutions, providing affordable technical management, consulting and training services for companies in pursuit of accelerating profitable growth and improving products, processes and people statewide.

The Growth and Expansion Fund is an annual program designed by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the McAllen Economic Development Corporation to foster new business development in McAllen. A prize of $7,500 will be awarded to the applicant that presents the best and more feasible business plan. The competition is specifically for established businesses and for-profit ventures who have been established for at least a year and are looking to apply those funds to grow or expand their existing business.

The process for developing and moving a new technology out of the University and into a commercial product requires input from both intellectual property (IP) and business professionals to understand the scope and value of any new technology. This process is iterative, and success requires the creator’s involvement well beyond the lab or workstation. Our office is here to help all parties navigate the process.

The Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office in Harlingen, Texas is committed to fostering economic growth by providing assistance to the small businesses that are located in its area of operation. WE EXIST TO WORK YOU THROUGH THE MAZE OF GOVERNMENTAL CONTRACTING PTAC provides technical services through trainings and one-on-one counseling to persons interested in obtaining contracts with local, state, and federal governmental entities.
